Carole Ann Ford

In 1963, Carole Ann Ford made an appearance on the long running British series Z Cars as well as in science fiction film Day of the Triffids when she was called to screen test for the role of Susan Foreman, granddaughter to The Doctor.

She appeared as Susan Foreman from the 1963 Doctor Who pilot episode through the end of the second season’s The Dalek Invasion of Earth. She has revived the role as a special guest in the 1983 twentieth anniversary special The Five Doctors as well as the 1993 charity event Dimensions in Time, featured in the spinoff film Shakedown: Return of the Sontarans, made a cameo appearance in the 50th anniversary docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time, as herself in the television special The Five(ish) Doctors: Reboot, and, more recently, numerous audios for Big Finish Productions.
