2025 Autograph + Photograph FAQ

Chicago TARDIS 2025 is just under a month away, and we wanted to make sure all returning and new attendees were familiar with our autograph and photograph sales and redemption.

In this post, you’ll find a short walkthrough of how to buy and redeem autographs and photographs at the con, the advantage to buying in advance online, and a list of FAQs relating to autographs and photographs.

Autograph + Photograph Buying and Redemption

Buying your autographs and photographs in advance always gives attendees an easier (and time-saving) experience at the con.

When you buy in advance, our ticket provider Eventbrite sends a PDF ticket in your email that can also be saved digitally on your phone or in the Eventbrite app. Take this to the Queue Room in our convention space 10-15 before the session, our staff will line you up, another staff member will scan the QR code on your ticket, and you are good to go!

If you buy at the convention, you will have to visit Registration & Sales, receive a printed ticket, then visit our Queue Room 10-15 minutes before the session. There, a staff member will put you in the correct line, and then they will scan your physical ticket.

Tickets will be able to be purchased online all weekend during Chicago TARDIS, so you do not need to visit Registration and Sales for auto or photo tickets.

Where do you line up for autograph and/or photograph sessions once you have tickets? We have this map to help you out!

Our Queue Room is located towards the back of the convention space, behind the hotel lobby. There, you will line up 10-25 minutes before each autograph and photograph session. A staff member will place you in line and lead you to the correct location for your session. You must check in at the Queue Room before attending all of your autograph and photograph sessions.

If you are looking to purchase physical tickets at the convention, you will visit Registration & Sales in the front of the convention space - to the far left of the hotel lobby entrance.

Autograph and Photograph FAQ

  • How do photo and autograph tickets work?

Each photograph and item autographed will need its own individual ticket purchased. Up to 6 people (family-sized) are allowed in one photograph. Tickets are sold by individual day - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - of the convention. This is done to accommodate the guest’s schedules for each day of the event.

  • What is the cost of photograph and autographs?

You can find the cost for all 2025 sessions here.

  • Why are some guests not listed as having autograph sessions?

If a guest has N/A next to their autograph price, that means they will be doing signings at a table in the Vendor Room. There is also a column in our schedule outlining which guests will have Vendor Room signings. Prices will be posted on-site at the Vendor Room table.

  • Where do photograph and autographs take place?

Photograph sessions take place in Junior Ballroom A, and autograph sessions take place in Lilac A-D. You can find a map of our convention space here.

  • Will I receive both a physical 8x10 copy of my photo ops as well as a digital copy?

Everyone who participates in a photo op gets a printed 8x10 photo for pick up in the Boardroom after your photo op. We make the digital files for all photo ops available for free to all of our attendees. These are posted on our website the week following the convention.

  • Am I allowed to bring my own item to autograph?

Yes, you can bring your own item to be autographed. We will also have 8x10 photos on sale for you to choose from to be autographed. You will need to purchase an autograph ticket for each item you want to be signed, whether it is your own or a purchased 8x10.

  • When will the schedule for autographs and photographs be available?

Click on each image for the current Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule. You can also visit the Autograph + Photograph page for a downloadable copy.
