Charlotte McBurney

BIO

Charlotte McBurney is a UK-based actor and co-founder of the theatre collective, fish in a dress. She is best known for playing Amicia de Rune in the Plague Tale video-game franchise. For this role, she was nominated for a BAFTA (2023), Game of the Year Award (2022) and won a NAVGTR award (2019). Other video game work includes Young Jill in Final Fantasy XVI.

With fish in a dress, she co-devised and starred in the critically acclaimed show The City for Incurable Women (★★★★ from The Guardian, The Stage, and Theatre Weekly) and has been
touring around the UK. For this role she was nominated for the Filipa Bragança Award at Edinburgh Fringe 2025. The company is set to premiere their second show, bush, in 2027.

Other recent theatre experience includes playing Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the San Diego Symphony Orchestra alongside Robert Sean Leonard and performing in Kaleidoscope at The Almeida.

Charlotte is playing the role of Wilder Lawless in Big Finish’s new, upcoming audio drama, Young Bond: Silverfin.
