Is it food? Something simple? Bowl of soup?

Oh, yes. Yes, indeed. Chicago TARDIS welcomes Camille Coduri– known to us Doctor Who fans as Jackie Tyler. (And also from Nuns on the Run, Rumpole of the Bailey, Nelson’s Column, Him and Her, Edge of Heaven, and many other productions.) Camille will be joining us the entire weekend.

A Terrific Troughton Trio

The Troughton era has been much on our minds this year, what with the fabulous recovery of “The Enemy of the World” and “The Web of Fear” last October. Naturally we want to celebrate the magic of late 60s Doctor Who– the era in which the current Doctor started watching. We are thrilled to welcome to Chicago TARDIS this year a trio of Troughton teammates! Joining us November 28-30 will be Frazer Hines, Wendy Padbury, and Deborah Watling.

Frazer should need no introduction: his portrayal of Jamie McCrimmon still resonates with fans nearly 50 years after his first appearance. (Jamie frequently rates highest of any male in Top Companion polls.) He’s no stranger to our event and we’re looking forward to welcoming him back. Neither Wendy (Zoe Heriot) nor Deborah (Victoria Waterfield) have been at a Chicago convention since HME/Visions days, so we will have a lot of catching-up to do!

A Rose By Any Other Name….

We’re thrilled to announce that Billie Piper will be appearing at Chicago TARDIS this year. Doctor Who fans know her as the beloved Rose Tyler– but she’s also been the star of Ruby In the Smoke, The Shadow In the North, and Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Billie can currently be seen in Showtime’s Penny Dreadful. We can’t wait to welcome her to Chicago! Due to her busy schedule, Billie will be with us on Saturday and Sunday only.

Sibling Act

Chicago TARDIS welcomes siblings Ellie and Joseph Darcey-Alden to this year’s convention. You know them from their portrayals of Francesca and Digby, Clara’s charges, in the 2012 Christmas Special, “The Snowmen.” You’ll also recognize Ellie from her role of young Lily Potter in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Pt. 2. Both brother and sister have a growing list of credits to their names, and we’re happy to have them join our family this year.

We’re pleased to announce that Sonita Henry will be joining us this year. Sonita played Colonel Meme in “Time of the Doctor.” You will also recognize her from numerous U.S. television guest shots, including roles in NCIS, Cold Case, Chuck, and Law and Order: LA. She also played the Kelvin doctor in the 2009 Star Trek reboot.
